Greg Kauffman was born in Modesto, California to a family of musicians and quickly followed in their footsteps and decided to pursue music. His childhood was spent learning any instruments he could get his hands on and signing up for all kinds of wind ensembles and marching bands, leading to him winning two separate marching championships in 2016 and receiving several awards for excellence in ensemble performance.
Greg discovered a free trial of a music notation software when he was twelve, and from there sprung a lifelong passion for writing music. Ever since, he spent hour after hour composing original pieces and creating covers of songs he liked, eventually leading him to go to UC Santa Cruz to earn a Bachelor’s degree in music, as well as a minor in electronic music.
Greg now professionally composes music for video game and film soundtracks, as well as produces sound design and mixes audio. While not working on solo projects, he collaborates with other musicians to create music, and is a member of Break Machine Production Company.
